UMass Lowell partners with Lasell University to diversify special education professionals – Lowell Sun

LOWELL — UMass Lowell faculty are partnering with Newton-based Lasell University to increase diversity in special education and applied behavior analysis.

A new interdisciplinary graduate program being developed by the schools and funded by a $900,000 grant from the US Department of Education will prepare students to meet the needs of people with autism spectrum disorders and related disabilities. Full scholarships will be awarded to a cohort of 24 graduating students, 12 from each university, beginning this fall.
