Staying Fit May Keep Alzheimer’s at Bay | Health & Fitness

MONDAY, Feb. 28, 2022 (HealthDay News) — If there was one thing you could do to prevent Alzheimer’s disease, would you do it?

If so, a new study has a suggestion: Get moving.

Participants who were in better physical shape were 33% less likely to develop Alzheimer disease than the least fit, the researchers found. And those whose fitness was below the fittest were, depending on their fitness level, between 26% and 13% less likely to develop mental illness than the least fit.
