The 2022 Los Angeles Marathon, the “Stadium of the Stars” on March 20, is presented by Asics, a Japanese multinational corporation that sells athletic footwear, apparel and accessories.
Asics, an acronym taken from a Latin phrase that can be translated as “sound mind, sound body,” is also organizing the collection of required bib numbers and race packs for registered marathon runners at a health and fitness expo on Friday. And the saturday.

The LA Big 5K race takes place on March 19 starting at Dodger Stadium. The family event starts at 8 am for 5K runners, with an adult race that goes through Elysian Park (this race has sold out). The Half-K Kids Run (about 1/4 mile), for ages 3-8, starts at 9:30 am and is a round trip from the starting line (check this page for if registration is still open, $15; www.mccourtfoundation.org/pages/la-big-5k-kids-run).
Participants in the LA Big 5K must pick up their race packet at the “Health and Fitness Expo,” 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on March 18, or 6:30 a.m. on race day, in Lot G at Dodger Stadium.
For the LA Big 5K races, entry to the parking lot is restricted to two gates at Dodger Stadium: the Sunset Gate (on Sunset Boulevard) and the Center Gate (from the 110 Freeway). There are no COVID-19 testing or vaccination requirements for the “Health and Fitness Expo,” LA Big 5K, LA Big Half-K Kids Run, or any event area outside of the start line area. However, masks are recommended at the exhibition and at the start of races (see table of masks and other requirements for other areas, including Marathon transfers for runners to the start line, on page 31 in the information program online end of 2022).
After the marathon, marathon finishers, family, friends and spectators are invited to the “Finish Festival” with a beer garden sponsored by Heineken 0.0., live entertainment and a marathon finisher merchandise store. The festival, presented by Century Park, is open from 9 am to 3 pm on March 20. Century Park, 2000 Avenue of the Stars, Century City.
